Six months check-up

Well we did it. We finally ventured out on our own. Don't know what I was thinking, Fin was his usual good self. It doesn't make for very entertaining stories but he really is very well behaved. Our first stop was a government office to drop of some paperwork so they will support us through this time. Things were going so well, we stopped by The British Butcher Shoppe and picked up some lorne sausage and a couple of scotch pies. Again good as gold, so off to Kins Farm Market for broccoli and beans for Fin, in the hopes of getting him to eat more "green" green veggies.
We had just got home got changed and were busy folding laundry when Mummy came home. She had been quicker than she thought doing her site visits and worked from home, which meant I handed over lunch feeding duties and had someone to hold my hand when the needles came out at the doctors office.
It was a good visit to the doctors. Fin had fun chatting and smiling to everyone in the waiting room. The doctor was pleased with his progress, she said to keep doing what we've been doing as he was obviously happy and healthy. Now for you pool players. He measured 65cm long so just over two feet and sat quite happily on the scale weighing in at 17 lbs. His immunization shots weren't fun, but he stopped crying as soon as we left the examination room. He wasn't happy and pouted on the walk home but he made his mum and dad very proud. We had given him childrens tylonol(pain killer) before and that seemed to help but he slept for a couple of hours through his dinner even, though that was to be expected. We don't have another immuziation until he's over a year old, and our next appointment in in 3 months but just a check-up.
When he did wake up his appetite certainly wasn't suppressed by all those drugs. He sucked on a banana while we finished our dinner, then threw back carrots and his new favorite broccoli. He followed that up with apple.
Ella had a brownie planning meeting this evening so Fin was stuck with me. He doesn't like feeling he is missing out on anything and we only got through one story before he decided it was more fun upstairs. After a short visit with the ladies he settled down and fell asleep with me watching sports. Despite the fact that we all had a nap this afternoon, a family that naps together...., I'm off to bed.

Thanks for checking back in, the server is experiencing some technical difficulties so thanks for your patience.
