Fin's restless nights are beginning to catch up with us. Ella went to bed early (as did Fin) and I'm not long away myself. I wish I had the time to write this during the day but then I suppose I'd miss some of the days events.
Swimming day two.
Left the house this morning with the boy fed. He was only wearing diapers but he was fed. More of the same, we did the hokee pokee and we turned ourselves about. The real exciting thing was today when we brought the young ones off the side of the pool, we got to put their head under the water. I don't think Fin loved the experience but he certainly didn't create a fuss. Perhaps he hadn't got over the shock. He was better today about being on his back, still not over the moon with the idea but no fussing, just the occasional grab of Dad's face. I think he was tired today because there were fewer smiles in the hot tub after. He did reach out and touch the other young fellows' hand, which was kind of sweet though.
After swimming we came home and Dad had lunch, did some laundry and headed over to Mum and Dad's to take the van in for an oil change, etc. Had a nice visit with Mrs Hall who was over visiting my folks. She's a lovely lady and I don't think had seen Fin since she hosted a baby shower for him back when Ella's folks came over when he was born.
Went to the post office, recycling depot and picked up some lamb chops for dinner(mmm lamb) and filled up with cheap (huh) gas (petrol for those of you who are Canadianese impaired)on the way home. I'll rant about fuel prices one day when I'm less tired and had a couple of beers. Right now the oil company pays the bills and we thank them for it.
Was organized for dinner, and Ella wasn't starving when she came home, so we put off dinner until after my run. After dinner I made a summer pudding with my home harvested blackberries and some other fruits. Hope it worked. will find out tomorrow and report back. Until then .... don't worry I'm won't mention pineapples oops there I go writing the pineapple again. dooh
